Four months of happiness

Words are so funny. Other people say "your 'only' four months", but for me you are 'already' four months. Time is passing so quickly now that you are here. The nine months of growing you inside seemed like an endless wait yet almost half that time has passed and I feel like you were only just born. 

In four months you have achieved so much and made a huge impact on the world. You can now smile, laugh, roll over both directions, recognize your mama, daddy and poppy. You can grasp and hold toys, bring them to your mouth. You can mimic mama by copying her poking your tongue out and you're starting to try to coordinate your limbs to crawl.

But of all the things you have achieved, the most amazing to me is seeing how you bring the love and happiness out of the world. Everywhere we go people smile at us. I feel so much more connected to the community thanks to you. Neighbors we have never met run across the street to catch us as we get home to bring you gifts and get a closer look at you.

In a world where most people walk by completely ignoring each other, you at only four months of age can make people stop and admire. If only for a brief moment you bring happiness to their day and they can't help but smile when you do. 

I wish I could live everyday of your life twice, but if I could I'm sure I'd only want to thrice!
